Leading up to April 23, members of the World Mission Society Church of God diligently prepared materials and cheers to support the Rockville Towne MS Walk, which would take place in Montgomery County. Having woken up before 5 a.m. to gather at the local Church of God, members made sure to prepare everything for the event in advance. With yellow shirts, white and orange pom-poms, cheers and smiles, the church members brightened up the day like the morning sunrise. Throughout the course of the day, they provided essential support to walkers and coordinators to help push toward finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.

At 6:45 a.m., church volunteers assisted with registration for all the participants, catering to a myriad of walkers. Walkers streamed in, filling the event area with chatter and excitement. The Church of God cheerers lifted up colorful and creative signs to encourage all the participants in attendance. Although it was cold, everyone was simply happy to be there to support the search for a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Lively music was played by a local DJ, charging the cheerful atmosphere, even more.

Overall, about thirty members were able to participate in providing support in order to share the warm love of Heavenly Mother with all in attendance at the 5K walk. Special thanks to everyone who decided to wake up early that morning in order to make a change. Both cheerers and walkers helped to facilitate a better future for people who’ve long been suffering with the difficulties of Multiple Sclerosis.
