The Women’s Veil and Honor in Worship

In our worship, our goal is not only to receive blessings but also to reflect God’s glory. To achieve this, embracing the teachings outlined in the Bible is essential. The example of Christ teaches the necessity of women wearing veils during worship, aligning with God’s established laws for our spiritual benefit.

“Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. But every woman who prays or prophecies with her head uncovered dishonors her head.”

1 Corinthians 11:1

According to 1 Corinthians, women should worship with their heads covered, while men should worship with their heads uncovered. Apostle Paul instructed the Early Church on honoring God during worship—men shouldn’t cover their heads since they are the image and glory of God (1Co 11:7). Hence, women in the Church of God consistently wear veils during worship or prayer as a demonstration of reverence to God.
