The Female Image of God in the Bible
Many people believe that God is only our Father. If that were the case, God would have been described in the singular form in the Bible. However, God used the plural terms of “us” and “our.”
“Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness’”
Genesis 1:26
This proves that there is not only God the Father.
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created; male and female he created them.”
This means God has a male image (God the Father) and a female image (God the Mother). That’s why God said, “Let us.” Therefore, according to the teachings of the Bible, we must believe not only in God the Father but also God the Mother.
