Multicultural Soup Social
Guests enjoyed a selection of multicultural soups, including Mexican corn soup, Italian wedding soup, and butternut squash soup. They also learned about Christian history through a Bible seminar.

The Church of God warmed the hearts of veterans with singing performances of classics such as “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” “Love Keep Lifting Me Higher” and “For the Longest Time.”
As part of East Coast Volunteer Service Day 2016, the Church of God in Maryland visited Sunrise Senior Living of Silver Spring to cheer up senior citizens.
The Church of God held an appreciation dinner to express gratitude to those who devote their efforts to have a positive impact on the community, including the likes of counselors, musicians, and even the family and coworkers of Church members.
Volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God in Maryland cheered on walkers at the Challenge Walk MS: Chesapeake Challenge 2016.
The Church of God in Maryland hosted a children’s biblical play titled “Jonah and the Whale.” The children prepared weeks in advance to put on a great play, rehearsing their lines and preparing props.
Church of God volunteers take care of the world God has given to all creation by organizing cleanups and plantings. In addition to protecting the environment though these activities, they also raise awareness and educate the community about current environmental issues through forums and tabling events.
One way to share love is to donate blood. The Church of God hosts these life-saving events to better equip blood banks and hospitals to save patients in desperate need of blood transfusions. With just one donation, you can save up to three lives!
No one knows when or in what form disaster will strike. However, many Church of God volunteers have been trained in emergency preparedness. Volunteers do their best to assist the community when help is needed most.
Sometimes, a smile is all you need to brighten up your day. Through various social welfare events and activities that support the community at large, volunteers hope to inspire a sense of joy and love.
The World Mission Society Church of God partners with local and national government offices and officials to further the work done in communities where the Church of God is located.
